Steel detailer is a person who produces detailed drawings for steel fabricators and erectors. As all are aware, the usage of structural steel as a construction material is increasing worldwide. Accordingly, the job opportunities for steel detailing is very high. Most commonly used software for steel detailing is TEKLA structures.

By merely knowing the software, a person cannot prove himself as an efficient structural steel detailer. A thorough knowledge on interpreting the client input drawings, a general awareness on various factors in steel detailing etc. are required to create a model successfully. The ability to make an error free model considering the client needs is very important. In addition to modelling, one should know the techniques for template preparation, drawing extraction, extracting material list, and develop the drawings to a presentable format by editing etc. Our Structural Steel detailing course is structured in such a way that the candidate will be trained in all these activities.
